Haus on Handy (Handy Road) Singapore

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Thursday (Nov 30) released four sites for sale which could potentially yield about 1,720 homes.

In its press release, URA said the New Launch Condo sites at Holland Road and Handy Road were launched for sale under the Confirmed List, while the sites at Mattar Road and Canberra Drive are available for application under the Reserve List.

At 4,796.2 sq m, the Handy Road residential site has a maximum gross floor area of 11,446 sq m and could yield 130 units. It is walking distance away from Dhoby Ghaut Mrt Station and development like Suites at Orchard, Sophia Hills, Nomu and The Cathay Residence. Shopping mall like Plaza Singapura, Atrium at Orchard, Parklane Shopping Mall, Peace Centre. School like School of The Arts, SMU and LaSalle College of the Arts.

City Developments (CDL) was the top bidder for two of the three private housing sites at a state tender that closed yesterday.

It lodged the top bid of $212.2 million, or $1,722 per sq ft per plot ratio (psf ppr), for a plot in Handy Road near Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, Haus on Handy

The developer also bid $472.4 million, or $800 psf ppr, for a land parcel in West Coast Vale.

The firm said it will explore developing three residential towers – eight to 10 storeys high – with about 200 apartments and a basement carpark for Haus on Handy new condo at the Handy Road site. It will convert a conservation building on the site into a clubhouse.

The West Coast Vale site could house two 36-storey towers. The Urban Redevelopment Authority has stipulated a maximum of 730 residential units for this plot.
